Cohen on YouTube

The Cohen bros.

The Cohen[sic!]Bros.

Although the e-commercialization of Borat is not a recent topic, it did show a -in my opinion- mature understanding towards the online video business. Before the actual movie, Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan, many of both deleted and real scenes were posted to YouTube. Thus , the movie-craze seemed to grow bigger and bigger among fans even before its ‘reel’ release. Seemingly, it did not bother either Cohen or 20th Century, which deed was interpreted by the Globalist.com:

One should give credit to Sacha Cohen and 20th Century Fox, his studio, for finally understanding that YouTube is a complement — rather than a threat — to their work. They seem to get it: YouTube will not replace the real thing, at least not in the short term.’
